Woodlands Adventure

Are you looking for a fun-filled imaginative day out for your organisation or an action-packed birthday party for your child? We may have just what you need…

Outdoor learning provides many direct and indirect benefits for all ages and the exploits of TV stars like Bear Grylls and Ray Mears have brought about an increase in interest in the outdoors life and survival skills. Without doubt, scaling our climbing wall or testing your orienteering skills is tremendous fun and can be the start of a lifelong hobby. Developing crucial life skills such as teamwork, self-confidence and risk-taking is just part of the fun.

Schools
An active and practical approach can provide a real contrast to classroom learning. Children from all ages can benefit from undertaking risks in a controlled environment and participating in activities which stretch and challenge. Our bespoke programmes link into the curriculum for KS1-5 and support GCSE, BTEC and A-level qualifications. Our activities promote team building, integration and trust for Years 7 and 12 – and provide a memorable end-of-year experience for all year groups.

Youth & Uniform Groups
Help your group to make the most of their weekends and school holidays by experiencing our fun and challenging activities. From half-day sessions to week-long residentials, you can choose from our existing packages or create your own experiences. Watch your group thrive as they develop learning skills, resilience, self-confidence and motivation.

Parties
You bring the food and we’ll do the rest (picnic facilities/ indoor room are both available). Leave the organisation to us and we’ll provide a fun and exciting party for your child which will be remembered long after the presents have been opened and the guests have gone home. Use their specific interests to choose 2 activities from the following list:
* Zipwire * Assault course * Bridges and vines * Mud run * Archery * Canoeing / Kayaking * Climbing and Abseiling (classed as 2 activities) * Circus skills * Frisbee golf * Geocaching * Team building * Raft building * High ropes (age 10 upwards, classed as 2 activities) * Bush craft * Nature studies and woodlands walk * Orienteering or Geocaching * Monkey tree climbing

Corporate Days
A day away from the workplace can work wonders for staff morale. Our venue, which can be used for team bonding, meetings and conferences, can be used by up to 70 delegates and includes fully equipped self-catering facilities, OHP and wi-fi. Incorporate some of our fun and challenging activities into your day, led by our fully qualified instructors, and see a different side to your staff as they develop their collaboration, leadership and problem-solving skills.

Sports Clubs
Bring your team to us and experience a series of challenging activities designed to increase teamwork and bonding. You can also celebrate the end of your sports season with us by combining your choice of exciting activities with a presentation ceremony.

Residential Trips
Fully heated residential buildings include a large hall, kitchen, laundry room and disabled facilities. If you prefer a night under the stars, we have a large camping field with toilet/shower facilities, stretch tent, camping cabin (kitchen), BBQ and picnic benches.

Generations of local children have enjoyed our activities; Woodlands is designed and staffed to accommodate a wide range of people. There are no barriers to inclusion as staff are trained to accommodate additional needs. We are one of Birmingham’s oldest children’s charities, remaining true to our goal of introducing youngsters to the joys of outdoor activity. Many underprivileged children who visit us through our charity work have never experienced life outside the area in which they live, nor enjoyed open countryside. Your custom directly assists our aims to change that and give these children experiences which, through no fault of their own, they have not had the opportunity to enjoy.

Visit our website for more information or get in touch to arrange a visit.
