And this is where we step in. We don’t sell you advertising you don’t need. We don’t work to targets so we don’t try to oversell you space. We find out what you do, what you’re trying to achieve and we take it from there – one size does not fit all.

We have 3 local publications covering 48,000 properties across the Walsall borough and Great Barr (see our Advertise tab at the top of the website for more details). Choose 1, 2 or 3 publications and an advert size which works for you.

• More awareness of the story behind your business?
Our superb editorial features cover local businesses, clubs, groups, societies and events. These are very popular with our readers who really appreciate the informative, well-written articles. And as they’re written and designed by us, they’re unique. You won’t find them anywhere else.

• Well-designed adverts in line with your brand?
You’re more than welcome to use your own advert but if you’re out of ideas and need a ‘fresh eye’ our designer will work his magic to create something special. We can also design and print business cards, stationery and leaflets if needed and deliver the latter (although advertising in the magazines is much more cost effective).

• An online presence?
You may have a superb website already or the mere mention of Google may bring you out in a cold sweat. Either way, our website is designed to raise awareness of you and your business. Launched as part of our 15th birthday celebrations in direct response to requests by advertisers, we have created a lively website which encompasses life in our local area. Find information on businesses, clubs, groups, events and a whole host of local gems and information.

• Social media?
Much like marmite, people tend to love or hate it but whatever your preference, there’s no denying it’s here to stay. Link your social media to your Business/Community Profile on our website and use our social media to share your good news.

So can anyone advertise?
Actually, no. We won’t advertise too many of the same business types because we want our advertisers to get enquiries from our readers, so we have waiting lists in several categories. We receive plenty of positive feedback from our readers relating to our advertisers and we have no intention of jeopardising this. If an advertiser doesn’t make the grade, they are not invited to renew. Simple – but it protects us all.

Apart from the fact the Pioneer Magazines and Great Barr Gazette covers everything you need, why would you choose to come on board?
Good question. Because we live and work locally, what happens in our area matters. Every advertiser not only enjoys the reputation of being ‘a Pioneer/Great Barr Gazette advertiser’, by default they are also recognised as being people who not only do a good job, they genuinely care about their local area. We sponsor the Rushall U9’s football kit, we are a registered partner of the THOMAS Project in Aldridge, we support Cats Protection in Great Barr and Walsall as well as a whole host of other initiatives. Our advertisers enable us to give back to our community.
